Godfrey's heart is to see a release of the indigenous song of the city or land. His workshops have encouraged and seen this release in various places across the world, many times seeing people write who've never written before, including Navajo Indians on reservation in New Mexico.
As well as encouragement for musicians the workshops are also geared towards people who just have a heart or burden for their locality. Godfrey believes that sometimes non-musicians and even out of tune singers can be carriers of laments and songs of deliverance that musicians can pick up and interpret into corporate song. The workshops are usually two, 2 hours sessions, including corporately writing a song for the area.
Many places combine the workshop with Godfrey leading a city gathering of worship and intercession with an area focus, and then involvement in worship and speaking in a Sunday meeting.
